• Chanel Boy-Friend Tweed

It is hard to think of Chanel without its symbolic tweed pieces. It has been the epitome of chic and classic. The inspiration of this series was actually Coco Chanel’s boyfriend—the Duke of Westminster. Once, Chanel borrowed some sportswear from him, and she felt the supple fabric would be a good fit for her design. Since then, Chanel started to use the tweed fabrics for everything such as sportswear, suits, and coats. Its comfortable texture, sophisticated stitch, and incomparable quality made it a big hit among women.

Last year, Chanel first introduced the Chanel Boy-Friend Tweed Watch Collection. Combining their iconic tweed pattern into the straps, these watches ignite the sparks of fashion and “blurs the boundaries between masculine and feminine.” The watch comes in two sizes: small (21.5mm by 27.9mm) and medium (26.7mm by 34.6mm). A high-precision quartz movement powers the Black guilloché dial on a steel case. The woven steel strap with tweed motif and folding buckle perfectly matches with the case and adds comfort on your wrist. For those ladies who prefer a little bit more feminine, there’s the one with 62 brilliant-cut diamonds on the bezel in small size.

In 2017, Chanel presents two more colors in the Boy-Friend Tweed Watch family—black and beige gold. The black tweed strap without diamonds comes in two sizes: small and large (28.6mm by 37mm), and that with 64 brilliant-cut diamonds on the bezel comes only in medium. The beige gold tweed strap comes in two sizes: small and medium, and both of them are with diamonds on the 18K beige gold bezel. Since Mother’s Day is approaching, consider this as a stylish and special gift for the ladies.

  • IWC Da Vinci

In 1969 at Basel Watch Show, the first Da Vinci (Ref. 3501) with Beta 21 Quartz movement made its debut. Its gold hexagonal-shaped case with gold bracelet immediately caught everyone’s attention. Undoubtedly it became the bestseller and the avant-garde as being a brand new collection of IWC.

    Ref. 3501

The first memorable evolution of the collection was in 1985, when IWC first launched the Da Vinci Perpetual Calendar Chronograph. (Ref. 3750) This watch represents the comeback of complex mechanical movements. The round case design with articulated lugs, the perpetual calendar module where all the settings could easily be done using the “mushroom” crowns, and a relatively low price made it a long-standing bestseller.

In 2007, IWC presented the tonneau-shaped Da Vinci with IWC’s first in-house chronograph movement. The Da Vinci Chronograph (Ref. 3764) integrated innovations—a chronograph that could be read off directly like a normal watch with stopped minutes and hours appeared on the display. In 2009, Schaffhausen’s engineers added the Da Vinci Perpetual Calendar Digital Date-Month (Ref. 3761). It was the first flyback chronograph that not only had perpetual calendar but also the digital leap year display with two large double windows for months and years.

Now in 2017, after ten years, IWC returns to the round-shaped case with movable lugs (which increases comfort). They also combined a mechanical chronograph with a perpetual moon phase display of the Da Vinci Perpetual Calendar Chronograph for the first time. The perpetual moon phase only needs to be adjusted once per 577.5 years. Aside from that, the Da Vinci Tourbillon Retrograde Chronograph features a 44mm case with classic tourbillon, a retrograde date with a sports chronograph on a single dial. This time with the further-developed 89360 chronograph calibre (which is the brand-new IWC-manufactured 89900 calibre) permits the “hacking tourbillon”—a down to the second setting of time. As women occupies a large portion of watch lovers, female is the main focus of interest of IWC. As the name of the collection implies, Leonardo Da Vinci was the inspiration of this whole collection in the first place. What inspired him in different spheres such as mathematics, art, and architecture, was the “flower of life”—the harmonious pattern of 19 overlapping circles. IWC Da Vinci Automatic 36 (Ref. 4583), Da Vinci Automatic (Ref. 3566), and Da Vinci Automatic Moon Phase 36 (4593) all have the “flower of life” engraved at the back of the case that represents the code of beauty of these watches.

  • CH Premier Celebrated Lunar New Year with Qeelin

The story of Qeelin began at the hub of cultural exchanges between China and the West, along the “Silk Road”, the caves of Dunhuang stand out among the art treasure of the world by possessing a special geographical and cultural significance. It was during a visit to these legendary caves in 1997 that Dennis Chan had a revelation and decided to turn this into a creative idea; translating all his emotions about China into meaningful, contemporary and universal jewellery – and Qeelin was born.

In each collection, iconic designs, carefully selected materials and exceptional craftsmanship deliver a beguiling combination of poise, playfulness, imaginative whimsy and enchanting Oriental beauty.

Qeelin first caught the attention of the world when actress Maggie Cheung appeared at the Festival de Cannes wearing Qeelin’s signature Wulu collection. Since then, Qeelin has been coveted among stars and luminaries all over the world. In 2007, Qeelin opened the doors to its boutique in Paris at Jardin du Palais Royal. Today, Qeelin’s boutiques can be found in fashion capitals across the globe, including Paris, Hong Kong, Beijing and Shanghai. In 2013, Qeelin joined Kering group, a world leader in apparel and accessories in luxury and sport & lifestyle brands.
