IWC Ingenieur Black Ceramic
Ingenieur Automatic 40
Precision in design. Purpose in material. The newest interpretation of a timeless icon by IWC Schaffhausen.

A Case for Engineering
Drawing inspiration from Gérald Genta’s design ethos, the new Ingenieur Automatic 40 embodies IWC’s unwavering commitment to technical excellence. With its sleek black ceramic case and integrated bracelet, the watch is not only visually striking but also engineered for performance.
Crafted from zirconium oxide ceramic, the 40mm case offers extreme hardness and scratch resistance. The dial, adorned with a grid pattern reminiscent of the original Ingenieur SL, reflects the signature industrial aesthetic that has defined this model since the 1970s.
Precision Inside and Out
At the heart of the Ingenieur Automatic 40 is the IWC-manufactured 32111 calibre—boasting a 120-hour power reserve and anti-magnetic properties. The movement is enclosed in a soft-iron inner case that protects it from magnetic interference, making it an ideal companion for modern engineers and creators alike.
With water resistance up to 100 meters and a screw-in crown, the watch balances rugged reliability with refined elegance. The black rubber strap or ceramic bracelet option adds a contemporary edge while ensuring everyday wearability.
