IWC introduces the newest addition to the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS line, pairing a 41 mm Grade 5 titanium case with a saturated purple dial, PETRONAS green details and the IWC-manufactured 69385 chronograph movement.
The Latest Official Team Watch
IWC Schaffhausen continues its role as Official Engineering Partner of the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One™ Team with a new Pilot's Watch Chronograph 41. The latest edition retains the lightweight titanium construction and functional chronograph layout associated with the series, while introducing an entirely new purple and PETRONAS green color combination.
Purple Takes the Lead
The defining feature of IW388121 is its deep purple dial. IWC connects the color to Singapore and the Vanda Miss Joaquim, the country's national flower. Singapore also holds a distinctive place on the Formula One calendar as the site of the championship's first night race.
The purple dial is set within a Grade 5 titanium case, creating a combination that is visually expressive while retaining the lightweight construction expected from an IWC team watch.
A saturated purple defines the dial and rubber strap, referencing the Vanda Miss Joaquim orchid associated with Singapore.
Green numerals, indices and luminous hands create a sharp contrast against the dial while carrying the signature color of the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS team.
PETRONAS Green in Low Light
The team's green color is functional as well as visual. Luminescent material on the hands maintains legibility in reduced light while reinforcing the contrast between the purple dial and the PETRONAS-inspired indications.
A Familiar Vertical Layout
The dial follows IWC's established Pilot's Chronograph configuration. Chronograph minutes are displayed at 12 o'clock, while the elapsed hours are positioned at 6 o'clock.
A combined day and date display sits at 3 o'clock, adding everyday functionality without changing the vertical organization of the chronograph indications.
Column-Wheel Chronograph
The Pilot's Watch Chronograph 41 is powered by IWC's 69385 automatic caliber. Its chronograph is controlled through a classical column-wheel system, while a bidirectional pawl winding mechanism supplies the movement with energy.
The caliber is finished with Geneva stripes and circular graining and can be viewed through the transparent sapphire-glass caseback.

Purple From Dial to Strap
The dial color continues onto a purple rubber strap. IWC's integrated EasX-CHANGE® system allows the strap to be removed and replaced without tools, using a release mechanism built directly into the attachment.
