A Historic Panerai Reference, Reinterpreted
PAM01794 looks back to the rare Ref. 6152/1 prototype of the 1960s while adapting its strong proportions for contemporary wear. The new watch combines a 44 mm steel case, a pared-back two-hand display and the distinctive “Panerai Firenze” inscription with the long autonomy and water resistance associated with Panerai's professional instruments.
Historic Proportions in 44 mm
The original 6152/1 architecture measured 47 mm. PAM01794 translates that imposing profile into a polished 44 mm steel case while retaining the cushion-shaped middle case, integrated lugs and signature crown-protecting bridge.
A domed sapphire crystal adds visual depth while preserving the strong geometry associated with Panerai's early professional watches.
Black, Blue and Uncomplicated
The circular-brushed sandwich dial keeps the display intentionally spare: hours and minutes only, with no date or subsidiary indications.
Green Super-LumiNova® illuminates the Arabic numerals and markers, while heat-blued pencil hands introduce a historic detail against the dark surface. The “Panerai Firenze” inscription makes this anniversary edition immediately distinct.
Eight Days Between Winding
The hand-wound P.5000 calibre uses two barrels to provide an eight-day power reserve. Its broad-plate construction and traversing balance bridge are designed around stability and durability.
Long autonomy also means fewer interactions with the crown, continuing a practical idea found in Panerai's historic professional instruments.
300 Metres, With Florence on the Caseback
PAM01794 is water resistant to 30 bar, approximately 300 metres, maintaining the functional character expected of a Luminor.
The closed steel caseback carries the “Officine Panerai Firenze” inscription together with an engraving of the historic Florence boutique façade, extending the centenary tribute beyond the dial.
From Tuscan Calf to Black Rubber
PAM01794 is delivered on a dark brown Tuscan calf leather strap, hot-stamped with the Florentine lily as another reference to the watch's Florence origins.
An interchangeable black rubber strap is also included, giving the watch a more utilitarian configuration while preserving the same 24/22 mm proportions.
