A Lunar New Year limited edition celebrating the horse — a Chinese zodiac symbol of strength, energy, and freedom, seen as a bringer of success and good fortune. Limited to 500 pieces, this Portugieser Automatic 42 features a stainless steel case measuring 42.4mm across and 13mm in height, framing a burgundy dial with golden hands, Roman numerals, and applied markers. Box-shaped sapphire crystals appear on both the front and back, lending the case a slim, refined profile. The dial follows the classic Portugieser Automatic layout, with small seconds at 9 o'clock, a power reserve display at 3 o'clock, and a date window at 6 o'clock. Inside is IWC's manufacture Calibre 52011 — a self-winding movement using IWC's Pellaton winding system with ceramic components, storing up to 168 hours (7 days) of power reserve. Flip it over and the 18k gold rotor is crafted in the shape of a galloping horse, visible through the open caseback. It comes on a black alligator strap with a steel folding clasp, plus a complimentary burgundy leather strap for a different look on the wrist. A spirited, festive take on a true Portugieser icon — built for collectors who appreciate both horology and tradition.
