Since its creation in 1931, this iconic reversible watch has proved to be a truly inspiring artistic canvas. As a tribute to the art of ink wash painting and honouring the spirit of the Year of the Horse, our Métiers Rares™ craftsmen have reproduced Xu Beihong's "Standing Horse" on the reverse of the Reverso Tribute Enamel. Executed in miniature enamel painting with delicate gradations of black ink, this masterpiece captures the essence of the noble steed, a symbol of power, grace, and untamed energy. The dial, guilloché with a herringbone pattern and layered with translucent orange Grand Feu enamel, provides a striking contrast to the artwork on the reverse. The meticulous reproduction of this iconic artwork and the creation of the dial require over 80 hours of manual labour, with multiple firings in an 800°C oven to achieve the subtle tonal variations of the enamel and the vibrant depth of the dial.
