Born out of a challenge
In 1930, businessman César de Trey was challenged to find a way to protect the glass of a watch for polo players during matches. de Trey’s idea was inspired; a case that could be flipped over. He approached his friend Jacques-David LeCoultre to produce the watch and the pair engaged René-Alfred Chauvot to design it. And so the Reverso watch was born.
The Reverso One Duetto revisits the codes of the first feminine Reverso models, emblematic of the Art Deco style: a rectangular and elongated case, dials with contrasting aesthetics, a double set of hands turning in opposite directions while indicating the same time, gadroons adorned with two rows of brilliant-cut diamonds, alligator leather strap... On the verso of the watch, the burgundy, glitter-lacquered dial highlights the elongated hour markers, which beam like rays of sunlight. Wearable on any occasion, this model combines inimitable style with refined femininity.
